Queens Park Rangers beat Blackburn Rovers 4-2 in the Championship on Saturday, but QPR manager Mark Warburton has said his team can do better.

It was an entertaining affair at Loftus Road on Saturday. Nahki Wells, Ebere Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Jordan Hugill were all on the score-sheet for QPR, who prevented a third consecutive defeat in the Championship.

A midweek loss in Cardiff was rectified at the weekend, and Saturday’s win leaves QPR in 9th - two points outside the players going into the second international break of the season.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the Blackburn win, Warburton said:

"As much as I praise the players, would you believe, after losing 3-0, we know as a group we’ve got to be sharper than that, tighter.

"We’ve given away a soft goal, dropped the intensity a little bit. It’s great to get the three points, but it’s a demanding group of players and they want to set higher standards. So we know as a group, we can do better."

The home side conceded three poor goals against Cardiff, and two more against Blackburn as their search for a clean sheet this season continues.

But Warburton will be relieved that his side taking a three-long losing streak into this week's international break.

The verdict

Warburton’s team have shown their capabilities this season. But they have one glaring incapability to keep a clean sheet.

Joe Lumley has recently been dropped for Liam Kelly as Warburton searches for his number one. It could be an area of interest for the QPR boss come January.
