Birmingham City boss Gianfranco Zola gave injury updates - via the club's official website - on a number of important first team players ahead of Friday night's Midlands derby match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

There is mixed news for Birmingham fans ahead of their short trip to Molineux for tomorrow night's Championship clash with Wolves.

Zola is hopeful that strike duo Clayton Donaldson and Lukas Jutkiewicz will return to training next week but both forwards will miss the game against Wolves.

Jutkiewicz's absence is a big blow as the top scorer suffered a hamstring injury in training before the QPR game whilst Donaldson continues to make his comeback from a long-term heel injury.

Michael Morrison remains sidelined and Jacques Maghoma is back in training but not match fit after a knee injury.

Left back Jonathan Grounds will face a late fitness test after he injured his groin.

However, there is better news with influential midfield duo Craig Gardner and David Davis returning from suspension.

Birmingham fans - what do you make of this mixed news? Are you pleased with the return of Davis and Gardner? Do you need Jutkiewicz and Donaldson back? Are you pleased that the strike duo and Maghoma are back in training? Let us know in the comments below...
