Queens Park Rangers bounced back from two defeats in a row to record a much needed victory over mid-table side Blackburn Rovers as they ran out 4-2 winners at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.

It was an impressive display of goal scoring from Mark Warburton's side with Nahki Wells, Eberechi Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Jordan Hugill all getting on the score sheet in a clinical performance from the R's against a Blackburn side who have now failed to win in their last three league games.

The West Londoners' performance evoked quite a reaction amongst the R's support, with their former midfielder Karl Henry also getting in on the act as he showed his appreciation for the goals via his official Twitter account:

Henry, of course, played over 100 games for QPR over the space of a four-year term in west London, with the largely defensive midfield player scoring on just two occasions.

The ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers man is now retired from playing, with the 36-year-old having turned out for Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City before hanging up his boots after the end of the 2018/2019 campaign in which he made just six appearances for the Bantams as they were relegated to the fourth division.

The Verdict

It will be nice for QPR fans to see one of their former players still taking such a keen interest in the fortunes of his old club, with Henry being well liked during his time at the club.

As for the R's players themselves, they are sure to be relishing their next game against Hull City away after the conclusion of the international break, with the west Londoners looking to push further up the table from their current position of ninth place in the Championship table.

With goals coming from all areas of the team, Warburton will be hoping that his charges can continue their strong form in front of goal in the weeks to come.
