West Brom are thought to be well aware they may face the prospect of losing winger Grady Diangana if his good form continues.

The West Ham youngster has been in form for the Baggies this season, helping them to the top of the league with four goals so far this campaign.

However, given his good form, the club could be in a position where the Hammers look to recall Diangana during the season, something respected Albion journalist Steve Madeley echoed in response to a Baggies fan's question on The Athletic Q&A forum.

"As for Diangana, they will be painfully aware of the possibility of losing him, as happened with Harvey Barnes last season. They are probably in a better position this season as they have more options already in the squad, ie Edwards, Krovinovic (with Pereira moving wide) and even Brunt, but I'm sure they will have a shortlist of other potential loanees who could be available if the worst happens.

"As you say, though, they will hope that West Ham continue doing well and that their wingers are in good form come January!" Madeley added.

The tricky winger has been one of the shining lights for Albion already this term, impressing as he looks to cement himself as a solid Championship level player while impressing his parent club.

The Hammers meanwhile continue to do well in the Premier League, something which could indeed play into the Baggies' hands when it comes to Diangana's future.

The Verdict

It's hard to see West Ham calling him back barring a massive injury crisis.

The point of Diangana's loan here is to get game time, and he isn't going to get that ahead of most of the Hammer's squad.

I'd be inclined to say that while Diangana is impressing, he'll be staying put at the Hawthorns for the season.
