New Millwall signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has said his final goodbyes to Reading fans.

The Icelandic striker Tweeted a screenshot of a his notes which had a goodbye message on it to the fans of Reading Football Club.

The club announced his departure from the club earlier today (July 12) as he leaves the Madjeski to join up with Neil Harris' Millwall side, for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old made 20 appearances for the club all season in the league, and managed to chip in with seven goals for Jose Gomes' side

It's no secret that Reading have been looking to reduce the wage bill, so the sale of Bodvarsson will help this, especially considering that he wasn't getting a good look in with Yakou Meite or Danny Loader leading the line for the Royals.

The Verdict

Bodvarsson's move to Millwall suits everyone involved.

He had 55 games for the Berkshire side but failed to get a real run in the team, so will be glad to move to a team where he feels more appreciated.

With Matt Smith already joining Millwall, the addition of Bodvarsson brings another big attacker next year, meaning Millwall are going to be a very physical unit.
