Queens Park Rangers are on the up recently as Ian Holloway's side put a dismal December behind them with three out of four victories this month in all competitions so far.

A number of players have departed Loftus Road in January such as Tjaronn Chery, who has made a move to China, Sandro to Turkey and striker Sebastien Polter, who has returned to his homeland Germany.

Of course there's been more with several going out on loan including Ben Gladwin, who's enjoying a third spell at League One outfit Swindon Town.

Holloway will be looking to trim his squad ahead of the transfer deadline next Tuesday and that will require getting rid of players not quite making it into the matchday squads.

Although they shouldn't leave on a permanent basis, here are two players the manager needs to loan out at QPR this week before their game at home to Burton Albion on Saturday...

Abdenasser El Khayati

The Dutchman arrived at Loftus Road this time 12 months ago, brought in by previous boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink from Burton Albion.

El Khayati has however struggled to nail down a first team spot at QPR this season and especially since the appointment of Ian Holloway earlier in the campaign.

In fact, the 27 year-old has been restricted to just one appearance since the beginning of November, and that came in a 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town.

Nevertheless Abdenasser El Khayati still has a future at Queens Park Rangers and just needs to get regular minutes on the pitch in order to prove his quality.

He should be loaned out before this weekend to ensure he doesn't spend another six months watching from the stands.

Michael Petrasso

Michael Petrasso has been tipped for a bright future at QPR since making his debut in May 2014, in a 3-2 win against Barnsley.

The 21-year-old has spent several spells away from the West London club on loan; Oldham Athletic, Coventry City, Leyton Orient and Notts County.

However, the Canadian international has failed to play a single match under Ian Holloway this season.

Queens Park Rangers will want a long-term winger and they have that in Michael Petrasso, but he needs to gain more experience in the Football League.

He may become useful for the R's next year if they are still in the Championship and needs to get game time in order to have a future at Loftus Road.
