Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce will be working hard this summer as he looks to stamp his own mark on his squad, and turn them into top-six challengers next season.

One player though who does not seem to be in Bruce's plans is 29-year-old forward Atdhe Nuhiu, who is linked with a move to Macedonian champions KF Shkendija, as per reports from Albanian news outlet Lajm.

So should the Owls let Nuhiu leave amid these recent transfer links?

We discuss........

Alfie Burns

"It’s a new era at Hillsborough under Steve Bruce and Nuhiu is very much part of the past.

"Whilst he has his uses, with his aerial threat something that seriously stands out, there are better options out there and Bruce has better at his disposal already.

"A more robust forward is probably the manager’s preference at this stage, which says to me that Nuhiu could be on the way out.

"Personally, I’d let him move on, he’s served his time."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, the right time was 12 months ago.

“He’s not Championship quality, it’s as simple as that.

“He’d do a job in League One, maybe as a target man for a side playing direct, but he’s just not up to scratch in the second tier.

“I would imagine he’ll end up back on the continent.”

George Brooks

"Nuhiu is one of Sheffield Wednesday’s longest serving players, but it might finally be time for him to depart Hillsborough.

"He is entering the final year of his contract at Hillsborough and Wednesday may be tempted to cash in on him now rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

"Most of his appearances for the Owls last season were off the bench and he didn’t start a single game under Steve Bruce.

"I can’t see him being a regular starter under Bruce next season, so perhaps he would be open to a move away from the club to boost his chances of regular football.
