Hull City have confirmed winger Kamil Grosicki has returned to pre-season training following an extended break this summer.

The 31-year-old was granted additional time away during the off-season after his involvement with Poland's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Macedonia and Israel last month.

Grosicki was a key figure for the Tigers last season as he was involved in 21 goals during his 39 league appearances to help Nigel Adkins' side towards a 13th-placed finish.

Adkins has since left the club and been replaced by former Doncaster boss Grant McCann, while Grosicki has also been linked with a move away from the KCOM Stadium this summer following his impressive form last term.

However, Grosicki has now posted a video of him returning to Hull training which the club shared on their Twitter channel:

Grosicki has one year remaining on his Tigers' contract, having been a regular at the club since joining in January 2017.

The Verdict

This is a huge boost for the Tigers, as the delay in Grosicki's return to training would have definitely raised suspicions over his future with just a year left on his deal.

The fact he is willing to publicise his return suggests he is focused on preparing for the new season with the club, despite the fact he did not feature in the club's touring party to Marbella.

It would be a massive plus to have Grosicki around next season, as his goals, creativity and experience are a potent mix that could continue to prove vital to the Tigers next term.

Hull will now be hoping he hits the ground running in pre-season and is ready to go when their season kicks off against Swansea City in August.
