Jack Robinson has joined Huddersfield Town on loan for the rest of the 2014/15 season.

Robinson is a product of the Liverpool youth academy and made 11 first-team appearances for the Reds as well as loan spells at Wolves and most recently Blackpool, where he spent the entire of last season.

The left-back has also been called up to the England U21 squad today for Euro qualifiers against Lithuania and Moldova. He currently has nine U21 caps.

Town's caretaker manager Mark Lillis told the club's official website:

“We are delighted to add more defensive strength to the squad. Jack is a player that the Club has tracked for some time, but we have needed to be patient to wait for the deal to complete. “We have been able to move quickly in the last few days to bring Jack to the Club thanks to the great work that goes on behind the scenes; that makes it possible for the Manager to determine the targets but not have to deal with the detail of doing the transfers. We learned early that Jack would become available once his permanent move across the Premier League to QPR was completed and acted upon it. “He was impressive last season on loan at Blackpool and our Assistant Manager Steve Thompson, who worked closely with him there, speaks very highly of his qualities. Everything we’ve learned and heard about Jack has been positive.
