Sheffield Wednesday finished last season in much better condition than many fans thought they would following Steve Bruce taking over the reins.

The Owls put together a fine run of form from January to almost claw the clubs chasing the top six into their grasp, only to see the final few weeks of the season slip away from them.

However, things are looking up, and if Bruce can indeed bring a few new faces in and keep hold of some of the better players he had, then the Owls can be confident of making a run at the promotion places next season.

One of the key players for Bruce was on-loan defender Michael Hector, who was in fine form for Wednesday after being picked up during the summer of 2018.

The Chelsea man clearly had an affinity with some of the Owls players and a selection of the fans too, and this was on display yesterday as Hector took to Twitter to hilariously mock midfielder Barry Bannan for his hair troubles let's say.

Of course, things like this always attract plenty of attention from fans, and this was the case here, with Owls fans taking the time to jump in and join in the banter between the two Owls favourites.

With that then, we at FLW looked at just what Wednesday fans - and Bannan himself - had to say in response to Hector's banter...
