Bristol City midfielder Han-Noah Massengo has sent a message following his trip away on international duty over the last week.

The youngster has been away with the France Under-19 side starting as they drew 1-1 with Croatia before sitting out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Russia on Monday night.

Writing on his Instagram story, alongside a photograph from his aeroplane window, Massengo said: "Back to Bristol" along with a little plane emoji.

The combative midfielder made the move to Ashton Gate from Monaco's B team in the summer for an undisclosed fee and he has gone on to become a pivotal member of the squad.

The 18-year-old has played in nine of their first 11 Championship matches, all consecutively, and will undoubtedly be starting this Saturday as well.

The Robins will be eager to maintain their brilliant away record this weekend when they travel to Luton Town on Saturday.

Johnson's side have not lost an away match for eight games now and, currently sat in sixth place, will be eager to make it a fixture of what they hope will be a promotion-winning season.

The verdict

Massengo really does look like a superstar in the making and it looks like a matter of time before Bristol City are fielding monster offers for his services.

It has hard to believe that he is only 18 with the mature way in which he carries himself on the pitch and the intelligence he shows when in possession of the ball.

He has become a real fixture in the side which is bad news for the likes of Adam Nagy and Korey Smith when they return from injury.
