Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the news that Nahki Wells has been recalled by Burnley from his loan spell at Queens Park Rangers.

As confirmed by the Clarets' official website, the forward has returned to Turf Moor as the club looks to resolve his long-term future.

Wells' current deal with Burnley is set to expire this summer although Sean Dyche's side do have an option to trigger a one-year extension.

Forest, who were linked with a move for the Bermuda international last week (Sky Sports Transfer Centre, 23/01), have yet to add to their options up-front since allowing Rafa Mir to leave the City Ground following a underwhelming loan spell.

A stand-out performer in the Championship this season, the forward scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 26 league appearances for QPR before rejoining Burnley earlier today.

Whilst Lewis Grabban has managed to find the back of the net on 16 occasions during the current campaign, the Reds may find it beneficial to sign Wells who could provide some much-needed competition for the 32-year-old.
