Reports suggest that Fulham are in talks with ex-FC Koln Moroccan international Adil Chihi.

The 26 year-old midfielder has been a targeted by Fulham's boss Felix Magath for some time and talks are on-going about a potential transfer, as the Daily Mail reported on 2nd July.

His contract at FC Koln expired on the 30th of June, in truth Chihi had no chance of a contract extension due to a breakdown in relations between the player, his representatives and the club.

Chihi chose to train with Blackpool when Paul Ince was the manager and was forced to train with the youths as a punishment and also exiled from the first team Rundschau Online reported (in German).

Düsseldorf-born Chihi had played for FC Koln all his senior career playing over 130 times for the team and scoring 20 goals. Chihi had been at FC Koln for ten years, initially joining the youth team in 2004 after a move from Fortuna Düsseldorf.

The midfielder broke into the first team in 2005/2006 season and has been ever-present ever since, his versatility allows him to play as a forward when required. Chihi is of Moroccan descent and chose to play for their international team, getting his first call up in a friendly match against Benin on 20th of August 2008.
