Wycombe Wanderers fan Callum Campbell gives his thoughts on how his side are going to fair in the Sky Bet League Two this season.

What are your expectations for this season?

Considering last season was probably one of the worst that any young Wanderer can remember. I would say the only way is up, but only up as far as mid table. Play-offs, let alone promotion, are a distant dream, which won't happen with the lack of funds at the moment.

What do you think of your summer business so far?

As previously mentioned, the club are desperately lacking in funds lack and this is having a large impact on and off the field. On top of this, the poor showing from last season gives no good quality player a reason to play for a team, which may struggle again while being unable to afford the higher end wages of players in League Two. With a few loan signings here and there from teams of a similar quality it does make me question how ambitious the board members really are.

Who will be your star player this year?

With the lack of quality in the team overall I think midfielder Josh Scowen, a product of our youth system, will be a key figure in the team this year. Although a few big teams are apparently monitoring the young player, I believe his passion for the club will rub off on the rest of the squad and hopefully ensure that the season isn't as nerve-racking as the last.

Who will be your breakout star this year?

Like Scowen, Matt Ingram is another player we have to come through our youth set-up. He is also rumoured to be attracting interest from teams in the higher divisions but this is an important season for the ‘keeper. Having been waiting for his chance to be first choice, there is no reason why the talented young player can't live up to expectations.

What game are you looking forward to the most?

The fixture I am most looking forward to this season is undoubtedly the derby between Wycombe and Oxford at Adams Park. Not only will the distance between the two provide a spark, but also both teams have been very turbulent recently. I expect a tight affair, with plenty of noise coming from the terrace stand.
