Royals fan Matt Colebeck discussed how he thinks Nigel Adkins' Reading will get on in the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season.

 

What are your expectations for this season?

My expectations for this season is not anything special, due to our ownership issue in which our owner to be hadn't completed the deal by the deadline so, I'm realistically aiming for a 5th-8th finish for this season.

 

What do you think of your summer business so far?

Our summer business so far has been horrendous because we haven't signed anyone, and the manager said we are not likely to sign anyone either.

Also we've sold our star striker Adam Le Fondre to big rivals Cardiff City for next season so it's not looking good.

 

Who will be your star player this year?

Our star player this year will be Gareth McCleary who is a extremely fast winger and has a lethal right foot, he has scored world class goals against QPR and a absolute stunner against Burnley in the last game of the season, where it ended up 2-2, although he's attracting attention from Premier League teams, but i remain hopeful that he helps us do well next season in the Championship.

 

Who will be your breakout star this year?

Our breakout star will be a young Australian midfielder called Ryan Edwards who is a very creative, attacking minded midfielder and has had a great pre-season so far, in which he has scored two goals and got two assists and he's younger than twenty.

 

What game are you looking forward to the most?

The game I'm looking forward to the most is probably Watford, as it's always an exciting exhibition where there has been some great goals scored over the years like Le Fondre's against them last year.

Also I think Watford will be going for promotion this season, so if we can beat them we can be a challenge for any team to face us in the Championship.
