There is an ominous cloud hanging over Leeds United at the moment.

Their worst home record since 1982 - no home win for seven months. The last victory was a 2-1 success over Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town all the way back on the 4th of March.

Rosler has his eyes on a move for Henen
Uwe Rosler has yet to taste victory at Elland Road since taking over in the summer

The fans are wondering what is it about Elland Road that makes these players under perform.

You would think it would be an honour to wear the famous white shirt in front of what can be said to be one of the most passionate fans in the country.

Yet for the past seven months, the team has really struggled to perform in front of their own supporters.

Is Elland Road, regarded as one of the toughest and most hostile grounds in the country for an away team to travel to, now too daunting for Leeds United to play at?

After the 2-0 defeat at home to a well-organised and clinical Birmingham City yesterday, Uwe Rosler, the current head coach, said to LUTV: 'Yes [it’s the most disappointed I’ve been this season]. We want to give our supporters a win and we are desperate to give our supporters a win.'

'We prepare the team very well, the players are responding well and we are doing everything, believe me, we're doing everything that we can to get the team firing.

'But for some reason at the moment we're conceding goals and teams don't need to work very hard against us to score. Sometimes our goalkeeper has nothing to do, but we're still 1-0 down. And on the other side we're not scoring enough goals. I think at times we make life very difficult for ourselves.'

A downbeat, under-fire Rosler comes across as a man who does not seem to have the answers for the supporters.

Only time will tell if the ‘manager eater’ Massimo Cellino will stay true to his word having recently said that Rosler is his man for the job.

It will only be fair for the German to get his chance and also a chance for Leeds to have a bit of stability instead of chopping and changing which has been the case for a while.

However, the longer the wait goes on for a home win, the more pressure Rosler will come under. Seven months is too long a time to wait for a home victory.

Leeds fans... do you agree? Is Elland Road now more daunting for the home team than the away side? Is Rosler the right man for the job? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
