Portsmouth FC have confirmed on the official club website that they have completed the signing of Stanley Aborah.

Stanley Aborah joins Portsmouth on a free transfer after he was released by Notts County last month.

The 29-year-old is an attacking midfielder and Paul Cook will be hoping that he can lead Pompey to promotion.

The South Coast side are currently 5th in the Sky Bet League Two table, four points off the automatic promotion spots but with a game in hand.

The former Belgium under-19 international joined Notts County from Hungarian side Ferencvaros in summer 2015 and played 42 times for the Magpies, scoring once.

He previously played for a number of clubs, including Ajax, Gillingham and Vitesse Arnhem.

The Ghanaian born midfielder puts pen to paper on a short term deal with Portsmouth, which will see him stay at Fratton Park until the end of the current campaign.
