Derby County have recalled goalkeeper Kelle Roos from his loan spell with Bristol Rovers, as confirmed on the Pirates’ official website.
Roos played 21 games for Bristol Rovers but had lost his place to Will Puddy recently, which may have been a factor in Derby recalling him.
The 24-year-old was on his third loan spell away from Derby County, after he had stints at Rotherham United and AFC Wimbledon.
Whilst at AFC Wimbledon, Roos helped the Dons win promotion and kept a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Plymouth in the League Two play-off final at Wembley.
The 6’5” stopper is a dominant goalkeeper who has played 5 games for the Rams so far in his career.
Steve McClaren made Roos his first signing as Derby County manager in his last spell and now recalls him in his second spell as Rams’ boss.
The sale of Lee Grant to Stoke might also have played a part in this decision.
