Birmingham City host Fulham this afternoon and pundit David Prutton has backed Blues to continue their fine form at St. Andrew's by picking up another three points.

Pep Clotet's side have been outstanding on their own turf this season, collecting 16 points from their seven home games, with Preston and Cardiff the only two sides to boast better records.

Despite that, they face a very tough game against a talented Fulham outfit that contains some of the best individuals in the league - including the Championship's top scorer in Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Nevertheless, Prutton feels that home advantage will be crucial and went for a 2-1 Birmingham win when writing out his regular predictions for Sky Sports.

If that was to be the case, it would see Blues push themselves firmly into the top half and they would surely cut the three point gap that currently exists to sixth place.

And, they will fancy their chances against Scott Parker's side who have been far from convincing on the road this season, with Fulham winning just twice away from home this season.

The verdict

This is probably viewed as a bold call by some as Fulham have an incredibly good squad and if things do click then most would agree they have the best side in the division.

So, the obvious threat of the visitors is clear but for whatever reason they just haven't been good enough away from home, whilst Blues have been fantastic at St. Andrew's.

Therefore, Prutton's prediction has some logic to it and you wouldn't be surprised if Clotet's men picked up another win today.
