Taylor has missed the Addicks' last five Championship matches after picking up an injury against Reading, but if Oshilaja's post is anything to go by it will not be long until he is back on the pitch.

Writing on Instagram, alongside a photograph of the pair, the summer signing simply wrote: "We loading..."

Oshilaja signed as a free agent after rejecting a new contract with AFC Wimbledon in the summer, with Charlton winning the race to bring him in.

He has gone on to play five times so far this season, starting three of those, but has been left on the bench for the previous three outings.

Taylor was in red-hot form prior to his injury, notching five goals in his opening six games in the second tier, so there is no doubt that the club will be desperate to see him back on the field.

With 11 matches played Lee Bowyer's side sit in tenth place but a win this weekend against Derby County at The Valley could see them leap back into the top-six.

The verdict

It looks like Taylor is now ready to make his first-team return, judging by these latest updates.

Huge credit has to go to Bowyer and the likes of Macauley Bonne for the way they have handled his absence with the positive momentum continuing despite his notable absence.

However, you get the impression that as soon as he is fighting fit again he should be thrown straight back into the mix.
