Palace's Premier League rivals Everton lead the race for the Welsh international, who will likely be going to France this summer with Chris Coleman's side.

Alongside the Toffees' is Eddie Howe's AFC Bournemouth, who have impressed many this season after confirming survival in the Premier League. Artur Boruc has played the majority of the season after signing permanently from Southampton, but Howe is unsure whether the Pole will stay in Dorset next term. Back-up 'keeper Adam Federici has filled in whilst Boruc has been injured, although he has made numerous mistakes.

The current holder of the number one jersey at the Riverside Stadium is Dimi Konstantopoulos, who can feel hard-done by for not getting in the Championship team of the year.

It is believed that Aitor Karanka wants cover in that position ahead of next season, should his team find themselves in the elite 20.

They are in a three-way battle for the title alongside Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion, but could well find themselves missing out on automatic promotion after failing to beat Birmingham City on Friday night.

Middlesbrough fans... what do you make of the news? Would Hennessey be a good back-up 'keeper? Do you think you could beat Everton and Bournemouth to the Welshman? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
