Sky Bet Championship strugglers Rotherham United have had a bid for in-form Grimsby Town striker Omar Bogle rejected, according to HITC Sport.
The 24 year-old has attracted interest from a host of clubs and the Millers are the latest side to implement their interest, by submitting a bid of up to £850,000 to challenge their rivals in the attempt to acquire the forward’s services.
Bogle is League Two’s topscorer this season with 18 goals, making him one of the most in-demand strikers in the Football League this January transfer window.
Other teams who have shown a keenness in Omar Bogle include Nottingham Forest, Wigan Athletic, Barnsley and Norwich City.
Despite Grimsby rejecting this bid from Rotherham United, the Mariners are likely to receive a number of offers over the next month as the race for promotion and scrap to survive relegation heats up in the Championship.
Bogle has made 70 appearances for Grimsby Town and helped them go back up to the Football League last year, during his time there the forward has bagged 37 goals.
