Fulham are still keen on a deal for Kevin McDonald

The Cottagers have been heavily linked with a move the 26-year-old this summer and have already seen two bids, one of £1.25 million, rejected by the West Midlands club.

But the Scot's future at the Molineux is looking doubtful as contract talks with Wolves continuing to stall.

Manager Kenny Jackett wants the former Scotland Under-21 international to stay and the club believe their offer is fair while McDonald feels the deal offered does not appreciate his value to the team.

He was left out of the friendly against Burton Albion two weeks ago with Jackett claiming he was too "unsettled" to play.

Fulham boss Kit Symons is a keen admirer of the midfielder and wants to pair him with new recruit Tom Cairney in the heart of his midfield.

McDonald, who was ever-present last season for Wolves as they narrowly missed out on the play-offs, has been a key player in Jackett's side since joining from Sheffield United in August 2013 and played a pivotal role in the team that won League One in style the following year.

The midfielder has made 91 appearances in all competitions for Wolves, scoring five goals.
