Derby County salvaged a late point in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night, but it was far from a vintage performance for the Rams.

Phillip Cocu's form at Pride Park has been their saving grace this term, and they looked to extend their unbeaten run to nine league matches against the Owls.

But the Rams allowed Wednesday to dominate for large parts, and they gifted them with an opening goal on 23 minutes when Steven Fletcher netted an opener.

Craig Forsyth played a terrible pass to Duane Holmes which allowed Barry Bannan to win the ball and thread it through to Fletcher, who curled a first-time effort into the bottom corner.

There was almost a carbon copy of that goal in the second-half - Forsyth, again, giving the ball away really cheaply, allowing Adam Reach to cross in for Fletcher who headed just over the bar.
