According to HITC Sport, a trio of clubs are chasing Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Luke Daniels this January.

Scottish Premier League outfit Glasgow Rangers are joined by Championship duo Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town in the pursuit of Daniels.

Luke Daniels has been a key part of Scunthorpe's success this season as the Iron sit third in League One ahead of a potential promotion chasing season.

The 28-year-old has kept 10 clean sheets in 24 appearances as Scunthorpe continue to impress in the third tier.

The former Manchester United and West Brom youth 'keeper has been at Scunthorpe since January 2015 but his contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Both Cardiff and Huddersfield are relying on loans (Amos and Ward) as their main stopper so they might fancy a permanent move for Daniels this January.

They are joined in the race for his signature by Rangers, who currently sit second in the SPL.
