According to a report by HITC Sport, Brighton and Hove Albion are set to send Jake Forster-Caskey to Charlton Athletic.
Forster-Caskey is currently on loan at Rotherham United but Brighton are expected to recall him prematurely to sanction a permanent sale to League One outfit Charlton Athletic.
New Charlton boss Karl Robinson is keen to sign Forster-Caskey, who he worked with last season at Milton Keynes in the Championship.
The 22-year-old has played 7 times for the Millers in his loan spell but has not featured since November for the Championship’s bottom club.
The left-footed central midfielder has previously had two loan spells with Milton Keynes and another spell at Oxford United.
The England under-21 international has also played 66 senior matches for Brighton since making his debut in 2010 but he has since failed to live up to his potential.
Charlton are looking to bring in Forster-Caskey to bolster their central midfield options ahead of a potential promotion push.
Charlton fans – is this a good move? What can Forster-Caskey offer?
Brighton fans – are you disappointed to see him leave permanently?
