Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock put in another commanding performance for the Bees last night when Leeds United came to town, both sides sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

The 26-year-old was critical of his side while in possession of the ball but he was quick to praise how well they defended against one of the Championship's most dangerous teams on the attack in his post-match interview.

Jack Harrison had an early shot roll into the arms of David Raya after he had won the ball back for his side inside the Brentford half.

The hosts took the lead when Kiko Casilla let a routine pass-back from captain Liam Cooper roll underneath his foot and winger Said Benrahma was able to pounce as he slotted into an empty net from a few yards out.

Cooper equalised for Marcelo Bielsa's side however when he stabbed in from close range after Raya had failed to deal with a Harrison corner.

The Verdict

Pinnock hit the nail on the head after the game as he criticised Brentford's ability on the ball across the night.

They were unable to keep possession as well as they would have liked but they were able to protect their goal when their backs were against the wall.

Brentford showed the grit and determination to dig deep and grind out the result which could be crucial come the end of the season.
