AFC Bournemouth have announced the signing of highly-rated Coventry City striker Callum Wilson on the official Bournemouth website

Bournemouth have captured the 22-year-old for an undisclosed fee and the striker has penned a four-year deal at the Goldsands Stadium.

Wilson, who scored 22 goals for the Sky Blues last season, was a product of the club's youth academy and went on to make 55 first-team appearances.

Overall the striker has scored 23 goals in 55 games for Coventry, he also enjoyed loan spells at non-league clubs Kettering Town and Tamworth during his five years with the Sky Blues.

Wilson has been linked with a number of clubs this summer including Norwich City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Cherries won the race to secure the striker's signature and he will join his new new team mates for pre-season training in Austria.

As part of the deal between Bournemouth and Coventry, winger Mohamed Coulibaly and goalkeeper Ryan Allsop will join the Sky Blues on loan until January.
