Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon is keen on bringing his former player to the Macron Stadium after signing him for Celtic from Hibernian in 2010.

The Irishman scored 68 goals in four seasons under Lennon.

After only scoring eight goals this season, it's presumed that Lennon thinks he can spark him back to life in the Championship.

Bolton lack firepower up front, the loan of Adam Le Fondre from Cardiff has added more goals to their side, but it's doubtful that they will secure his signature permanently given the speculation around Cardiff manager Russell Slade.

Eidur Gudjohnsen and Emile Heskey, if they do earn new deals at the club, are hardly the pair to fire the Trotters up the table and Jermaine Beckford only amassing seven goals in League One this season, it's obvious that Bolton need to find a new striker.

Bolton are in 17th place in the Sky Bet Championship having amassed 49 points this season.
