Blackburn can be happy with the season they had, having consolidated and finished comfortably in mid-table.

Tony Mowbray has done an excellent job since joining in 2017, and will be looking to push on next year and make a better challenge for the playoff places, having been out of the Premier League since 2012.

In order to mount that challenge, they will need to hang onto their best players. Bradley Dack, in particular, is the stand out performer and has been since he joined in 2017.

It is little surprise that the man who directly contributed to 26 goals last season is attracting attention from elsewhere, with Brighton and Aston Villa reportedly interested in signing him, according to The Sun.

Rovers could have done a lot better than last season's 15th placed finish, if not for an abysmal two-month spell from the beginning of February until April in which they only won one of 11 games.

Consistency is the key in the Championship, and huge losses of form like that affect many clubs, but if Blackburn are aiming for the playoffs then they will have to rectify that.

Blackburn's players have been enjoying their time off since the season end, here we round up what some of them have been up to.

Bradley Dack is enjoying some well deserved time off, playing golf in the Algarve sun whilst holidaying with his girlfriend.

The midfielder is key to Blackburn's ambitions next season, so it is vital they keep him at the club.

He could be a Premier League player by the end of the summer, however, and that would be just reward for his impressive form over the last few years, for both Rovers and Gillingham.

Striker Adam Armstrong has also been catching the rays in his holiday in Dubai, and he certainly looks like he is enjoying some time away from Lancashire.

The 22-year-old scored nine goals in 48 appearances. Whilst it is a decent return for a young striker adjusting to a higher level of football, Rovers fans will be hoping he improves on that next year.

He is a player with lots of potential. He is settled at Blackburn now and fits well into their system. He links up well with Danny Graham and Dack, and him staying could help Armstrong to excel next season.

Harry Chapman while has been looking sharp, enjoying a christening with his girlfriend last week, rather than jetting off to some exotic location abroad.

Regardless, he is spending some time away from football which should hopefully rejuvenate him ahead of an important season for him personally.

He appeared only twice for Blackburn after signing from Middlesbrough in January, and needs to be in the right frame of mind for pre-season in order to ensure he is ready for the new season.

Armstrong isn't the only Rovers striker away on holiday. Ben Brereton is pictured here with his girlfriend, unwinding after a fairly difficult season for the player.

Starting opportunities were few and far between for the £7 million man, and as a result he scored just one goal in 28 appearances.

However, the fee paid suggests the club have a lot of faith in the 20-year-old, and if he gets more of a chance next season he could show what he's really capable of.

Meanwhile, there is a baby on the way for Blackburn defender Derrick Williams.

Pictured here with his partner, his caption suggests he is only weeks away from becoming a dad - and you'd think that might be occupying his mind more than football at the moment.

He had an impressive season back in the Championship.
