Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best has been left out of the squad's pre-season training trip to Portugal, reports the Lancashire Telegraph

Midfielder Alex Marrow and fellow striker Jordan Slew have also been left out of the 27-man squad that will spend a week training in Portugal.

Best scored one and set up two for Ruben Rochina in a 4-0 win over AFC Telford United on Saturday.

But the 27-year-old has been left behind as the rest of the team jetted of to the Algarve.

All three players were all placed on the transfer list at the end of last season.

Slew played in the Rovers U21s friendly against Clitheroe on Saturday, in which they lost 2-1.

Marrow did not feature in either match.
