Birmingham City are close to adding Granada midfielder, Rene Krhin to their ranks, as they close in on a deal, according to Spanish newspaper, Ideal.
The Slovenian midfielder is currently in England to complete the deal and Birmingham hope to announce the signing soon.
New Blues boss, Gianfranco Zola, is keen to put his own stamp on the squad and it seems like the majority of players Zola brings in will be from the foreign market.
Krhin has struggled for consistent game of late and he has had three clubs in the last two years.
He has mainly plied his trade in Serie A, but when a move to Inter Milan didn’t work out, he moved to La Liga, but he has also struggled there.
The midfielder has been capped 30 times by Slovenia and represented his country at every youth level.
The combative midfielder likes to get about the pitch, supporting the attacks whenever he can and he has an eye for a goal too. With the assurance of Stephen Gleeson in the Birmingham midfield, Krhin could be a great signing by Zola.
