Premier League giants, Liverpool, have rebuffed interest from Aston Villa, Newcastle and Brighton for their in-demand midfielder Kevin Stewart according to The Liverpool Echo.

Stewart is widely regarded as one of the best Liverpool youngster's around at the moment, so it is understandable that Klopp wants to keep hold of him, as he sees him as a valuable squad player, and perfect back up to the Reds captain, Jordan Henderson.

Since making his first team debut in a cup match at Exeter last year, Stewart has been in and around the first team squad and his fast progression was rewarded with a five-year deal, which he signed only in November.

Despite the 23-year-old's lack off football, Liverpool are understood to be keen to keep hold of Stewart in January but may be looking to sell in summer, valuing the youngster at around £10-12 million.

All three teams who's interest has been rebuffed are looking to improve their squads ahead of the promotion run in, but they will have to look elsewhere, with Liverpool giving them a resounding no, in their pursuit of Stewart.
