Villa are eyeing a move for the young Forest star

The 17-year old defender is tipped as a promising youngster at the City Ground after starring for their youth side over the last couple of seasons.

But due to Forest being under a transfer embargo the club are losing their star players fast and it seems as though Iacovitti could be the next to go, with Premier League side Villa keeping an eye on his progress.

Former Forest academy manager Kevin MacDonald, who now works at Villa as assistant manager to Tim Sherwood, is known to be an admirer according to the Daily Mirror, having coached Iacovitti.

Iacovtti is on the fringes of the Forest first-team this season and the club will surely be hoping to hold onto their promising star during the rest of the transfer window.

The Championship side, who lost 4-3 to Walsall last night in the League Cup, are also hoping to retain Henri Lansbury, who has been the subject of a reported £4m bid from Burnley and Michail Antonio, who is wanted by West Brom.
