Cardiff City will be aiming to get their Championship play-off bid back on track when they welcome promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest to the Welsh capital this evening.

The Bluebirds had propelled themselves into top-six contention following an encouraging seven-game unbeaten run, but this came to an end over the weekend as they stumbled to a 2-0 defeat on the road against a struggling Stoke side.

Harris' men now have an immediate chance to put things right following this recent setback, and they will be looking to continue their unbeaten home record in the Championship since Harris' arrival at the club back in November.

However, the Cardiff boss will need to mastermind a victory over Sabri Lamouchi's side without a key creative presence in his side, with attacking midfielder Lee Tomlin absent after suffering a serious knee injury in training at the end of last week.

Cardiff clearly missed his creativity and vision in the centre of the park during their trip to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, and Harris will need to turn to the likes of Josh Murphy, Gavin Whyte and Joe Ralls to add the creative edge against the Reds.

There are fortunately no other fresh injury problems for the Bluebirds since their weekend clash with Stoke, but winger Albert Adomah will not be allowed to feature against Forest as a result of the game being against his parent club.

The only other players missing for Cardiff are all long-term absentees with this list including Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Isaac Vassell and Matthew Connolly, with none of these players likely to feature anytime soon for Harris' side.
