Sheffield Wednesday secured their progression to the FA Cup fifth round following their 2-1 victory over fellow Championship side QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Friday night.

Garry Monk would have been looking for a response from his side following the humiliating 5-0 league defeat to Blackburn last weekend, and the Owls managed to restore some pride following goals from Morgan Fox and Sam Winnall.

Nahki Wells then found the net in the 93rd minute for the home side, but this only proved to be a consolation goal as Wednesday continued their run in the competition which started with their 1-0 win over Brighton earlier this month.

Monk made wholesale changes following his side's thrashing last Saturday with the likes of Adam Reach, Kieran Lee and Barry Bannan all dropping out of the side, but the Owls boss chose to persist with Winnall in attack alongside Jordan Rhodes.

Monk kept faith in Winnall despite replacing him with Atdhe Nuhiu in the 37th minute of the Blackburn loss, and Winnall repaid his manager's faith by making it 2-0 to Wednesday in the closing stages of their FA Cup fourth-round success.
