Leeds United are currently fifth in the Sky Bet Championship, surprising many after a poor start to the season, which saw Garry Monk’s side lose four from their opening six games.

Monk now has his side firmly focused on securing a place in the end of season Play-Offs, with Leeds currently sat comfortably in the top-six, six-points clear of seventh placed Norwich City.

The Whites lost ground on the automatic promotion places recently, following back-to-back defeats against Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City, the first time Leeds have lost consecutive league games since September.

However, Monk's side bounced back on Tuesday evening with a 2-1 victory over Bristol City. Goals from Chris Wood, his 22nd of the season, and Pablo Hernandez was enough to see off Lee Johnson’s side and restore positivity around Elland Road.

With just 14 fixtures left in the Championship season, here is a look at FIVE games between now May that could ruin Leeds’ promotion dream:

Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday – 25/02/2017

Wednesday are sixth in the Championship, one place and two-points behind Monk’s Leeds side.

After a month of damaging results, Leeds need to pick up three-points against the Owls in late February.

Failure to do so could seriously jeopardise Leeds’ Play-Off ambition.

Fulham v Leeds – 07/03/2017

Fulham are looking to catch the top-six and currently sit eighth, six-points behind sixth place.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side play great football, and have picked up impressive results against Huddersfield Town and Reading, beating both sides 5-0 this season.

Leeds need to make sure they don’t suffer the same fate as their Play-Off rivals, when they visit the Capital next month.

Newcastle United v Leeds – 15/04/17

Perhaps the most daunting fixture in the Championship this season awaits Monk’s side over Easter.

Leeds travel to the North-East to face a Newcastle side who are likely to be pushing for the title.

Rafa Benitez’s side have made some good teams look very average at St James’ Park this season, which will be a worry for Leeds.

Leeds v Wolverhampton Wanderers – 17/04/2017

Leeds host Paul Lambert’s Wolves just two days after their trip to Newcastle.

These games over Easter are likely to define Leeds’ season, two victories and you would expect them to finish in the top-six. Anything else and they make look like falling short of the Play-Offs.

Wolves are currently six-points outside the relegation zone and might yet find themselves in a relegation battle come the end of the season, where every point will matter.

Leeds v Norwich City – 29/04/2017

Norwich are leading the pack of teams chasing the Play-Offs.

Alex Neil’s side are currently four-points behind Sheffield Wednesday and six behind Leeds.

There is a lot of football to be played before these two sides meet, but if Norwich are performing close to the level they currently are, Leeds may struggle to stop Neil’s side overturning them.
