It has been an interesting summer so far at Elland Road: new manager, rumoured takeover interest - and lots of transfer business.

There have been some high-profile departures from the club - with Mirco Antenucci and Football League Young Player of the Year Lewis Cook embarking on pastures new; however there has been an influx of transfer business regarding incomings at Elland Road.

Oxford starlet Kemar Roofe has arrived on a long-term deal, Matt Grimes and Kyle Bartley have both joined on loan from new boss Garry Monk's old club Swansea; talented winger Hadi Sacko has jetted in from Sporting Lisbon, Robert Green has arrived from QPR, and in doing so solidifying the goalkeeping position which had come under scrutiny at the Yorkshire club.

They have also secured the signature of talented Spanish winger Pablo Hernández - the 31-year-old joins Leeds on a six month loan deal with a option of a permanent move from Qatari side Al-Arabi - and in the process he reunites with Leeds boss Garry Monk, who Hernández played with between 2012 and 2014 during his time in South Wales.

Hernández could certainly be a great coup by the Whites' for the forthcoming campaign... In this article, Football League World writer Jack Sharp looks at a 4-2-3-1 formation that Leeds could play to get the best out of their new Spaniard.....

GK: Robert Green

Green has recently arrived at Elland Road on a one-year-deal from Sky Bet Championship rivals QPR.

The veteran goalkeeper looks a cert to start ahead of current United 'keeper Marco Silvestri - who has come under intense scrutiny for his performance in a Leeds shirt.

The ex-England international will bring a wealth of experience and composure to Elland Road - and could prove to be one of the signings of the summer.

RB: Haukur Heidar Hauksson

Garry Monk has come out and openly admitted that he feels like the right-back position at the club is one that needs strengthening.

The 37-year-old Englishman has identified Icelandic ace Hauksson as a candidate to fulfil that insecurity, and has reportedly placed a bid for the 24-year-old.

Hauksson, who recently played at the Euros, has two years left on his contract at Swedish side AIK Solna.

CB: Kyle Bartley

Kyle Bartley99000

Bartley is a player who has recently arrived at Elland Road on a loan deal, and in doing so reunites with Garry Monk - who Bartley worked under during Monk's tenure at the Liberty Stadium.

The former Arsenal and England youth player will bring a commanding presence to the back-line at Elland Road, something that could be vital to any Leeds success this campaign.

Bartley also has a decent Sky Bet Championship pedigree, making 52 appearances in the league; Leeds have made a plethora of attack minded signings this campaign, however a solid defence is also needed for success - Bartley could certainly be part of that.

CB: Sol Bamba

Bamba is the captain of Leeds', and is a towering and commanding presence in the defence at the club.

The former Ivory Coast international has made 52 appearances for the club over two spells at Elland Road - scoring 5 goals during this time.

The 6' 3" former PSG and Leicester City player could form a formidable partnership with Bartley in this campaign.

LB: Charlie Taylor

This is a strange one, with Taylor handing in a transfer request at the club.

However, Garry Monk has previously said that Taylor won't be leaving Elland Road, and he has continued that resilience -with said transfer request being declined.

Taylor was arguably United's best player last campaign, making 39 Sky Bet Championship appearances, scoring 1 goal and creating a further 7.

His sterling performances have attracted a host of Premier League clubs; it will be interesting to see how this saga pans out, something that is certain is that Hernández would surely love to have someone with the talent of Taylor covering him this campaign.

CM: Matt Grimes

I'm adjusting this 4-2-3-1 to a more attacking variation - because I believe it's the best formation for talented Swansea youngster Grimes to flourish.

Grimes is a young central midfielder with a plethora of talent - Leeds have secured the England U21 international on a season long loan, and the former Blackburn loanee could certainly inspire some long sought success for the club this term - his range of technical abilities could compliment Hernández perfectly.

CM: Toumani Diagouraga

Toumani DiagouragaToumani Diagouraga

Digouraga is perhaps predominately a defensive midfielder, however he has shown throughout his career that he can definitely adapt and play central midfield - as the Frenchman has played 57 times in the role.

Digouraga joined United back in January - and since then has made 19 appearances for the Elland Road outfit, scoring 3 goals.

The 29-year-old is an established Football League player, and his physicality could perfectly complement the more technical players in the side, i.e Grimes, Hernández etc...

RM: Hadi Sacko

22-year-old Sacko has recently joined Leeds on a loan deal from Portugese side FC Sporting.

The former French U20 international has already dazzled some of the Elland Road with his blistering pace, Sacko also possesses a wealth of skill, and definitely possesses the ability to be a star during his time with the club.

Sacko's a different mould of winger than Hernández - something which I think Leeds could thrive off; they have two quality wingers in their arsenal, who both have separate strengths.

CAM: Kemar Roofe

kemar roofekemar roofe00

Roofe has recently arrived at Elland Road on a three-year-deal from recently promoted Sky Bet League one side Oxford United.

The  23-year-old scored 25 goals last season, and was completely instrumental in all of The Yellows' success last term - as the club reached the final of the Johnstone Paint Trophy and secured promotion from Sky Bet League Two.

His performances obviously attracted Leeds, and now he's at the club I think he could be utilised in a central role, which he has experienced in his career - rather than out on the wing, which is perhaps a role he is more accustomed too; I believe Roofe possesses the potential to be a quality player even in a perhaps more unnatural position.

LM: Pablo Hernández

pablo hernandezpablo hernandezddv

Hernández can operate on either flank, however with Hadi Sacko playing on the right during pre-season - I think that Hernández will be utilised on the left hand side at Elland Road.

The 31-year-old possesses the quality to be sensational at Elland Road this campaign, he is the type of player that can produce something on a whim to change a game.

It also helps that he is playing under someone in Monk which surely knows how to utilise him to his strengths - I believe the signing of the Spaniard could go down as one of the signings of the summer.

ST: Marcus Antonsson

Marcus Antonsson123

Antonsson has recently signed for Leeds as part of the overhaul at the club - the Swede joined from native side Kalmo FF and committed to a three-year-deal at Elland Road.

Standing at 6', Antonsson wouldn't be a bad option for balls into the box for Hernández - but the best way to utilise the 25-year-old would arguably be through through balls, with the striker having good finishing ability in his arsenal.

So... Leeds fans, what do you make of this side? Could it succeed? How good of a signing is Hernández?
