Norwich City have made an emphatic return to the Championship, after a dismal campaign last term which eventually culminated in relegation.

After nine games, Alex Neil has guided the Canaries to six wins, two draws, and just a single loss, and find themselves 2nd in the Championship table with a game in hand on leaders Huddersfield Town.

On Wednesday evening, they encounter a high flying Newcastle United side short on confidence, failing to find a win in three league games, however certainly possess the quality to romp to the Championship title come the end of the season.

Nevertheless, Alex Neil's men do too, and with his guidance and management, the East Anglian club will no doubt be competing for the top two spots throughout the duration of the campaign.

With that being said, here, FLW writer George Harbey, identifies THREE reasons why Norwich City will lift the Championship title this year...

They have a fantastic youth system

One thing that I am sure the Carrow Road faithful are a huge fan of so far this campaign is Alex Neil utilising a lot of youth prospects in the starting 11.

The signings of Alex Pritchard and Sergi Canos in the summer were fantastic coups for such young ages, however home-grown star Jacob Murphy has lightened up the Anglian club thus far this season.

Following a remarkable loan spell at Coventry City last term, of which he netted 9 times in 40 games for Tony Mowbray’s men, Murphy has come straight back into the first team and made a glowing impact, scoring five times in all competitions.

With the ability and quality that several of these youngsters have, City won't be far off the title this year.

They play fantastic, attacking football

City gained promotion to the Premier League in the 14/15 campaign  playing some exquisite football in the 14/15, and this looks to be no different this season either.

The statistics don't lie, the Canaries have already netted 24 times in all competitions this season, 4 of which came on opening day against Blackburn Rovers, and 6 in the 6-1 drumming of Coventry City in the EFL Cup.

With the pace and flair of Robbie Brady, Alex Pritchard, Wes Hoolahan and Sergi Canos to name a few, Alex Neil’s men play possibly the best football in the division.

They have the right blend of experience

Neil

As well as having fantastic youth players, Alex Neil has made sure that the spine of his City side is filled with leadership and experience.

The likes of Wes Hoolahan for instance, has made 258 appearances for the Canaries at the ripe age of 34, however still plays a pivotal, instrumental role for Alex Neil’s men.

In addition to this, the players who formed the core of the squad that were eventually relegated from the Premier League have remained, the likes of Steven Naismith, Timm Klose, and especially Cameron Jerome, who is prolific in the Championship, scoring 18 times in City’s promotion winning 14/15 campaign, and netting 3 times already this season too.

The mix of youth and experience is often successful for many football clubs, and this is no different for Norwich and Alex Neil this year.
