League Two outfit Mansfield Town have shot from 18th in the league to 7th in just over three months, with Steve Evans having made a clear impact on the fortunes of the East Midlands-based outfit.

The Stags moved into a play-off place yesterday following a 4-0 demolition of hapless Hartlepool United and the clear message from everyone at the football club is that promotion is firmly within their sights.

Evans arrived in Nottinghamshire during November and he has improved the mood around the One Call Stadium no end, with a real emphasis being place on Mansfield Town becoming a club that people want to go and watch once again.
