Norwich City have had a difficult 2016/17 campaign so far.

After a disappointing relegation from the Premier League last year, many believed Norwich would be able to bounce straight back to the top flight at the first time of asking.

And for quite a while, that looked like a live possibility.

By mid-October, Norwich City were sitting at the summit of the Championship table.

However, a terrible run of losses followed and inconsistency has seen them drop down the table.

As things stand, the Canaries are 5 points off a play-off spot and a large number of fans have been very vocal in recommending that Alex Neil needs to be sacked.

They might want to recruit in January but Norwich have been left in a position where they need to sell to buy.

Therefore, Neil will be looking to offload some fringe players and here are 3 who should be seeking a move away for their own sake.

Paul Jones

Norwich signed Paul Jones in the summer from Portsmouth but it is unclear as to why they did.

The 30-year-old is third choice behind John Ruddy and Michael McGovern and they also have Declan Rudd and Remi Matthews out on loan.

Jones needs to move away for his own sake at this stage of his career.

Kyle Lafferty

Kyle Lafferty is clearly surplus to requirements at Carrow Road.

The burly Northern Ireland international provides a physical option up front but Neil is reluctant to use him.

After managing just nine substitute cameos in the league this year (and one goal), the 29-year-old should seek a move away.

Sergi Canos

Norwich fans were really excited about Sergi Canos signing from Liverpool in the summer after the Spaniard lit up the Championship in a loan spell at Brentford last season.

However, it hasn't worked out for Canos, who has managed just three matches (and only one start) in the league this season.

The 19-year-old could be on his way back to Brentford with Leeds United also interested in his services.
