Birmingham City are a side that have taken a few by surprise in the Championship this season and right now, there are few teams that will beat them with relative ease.

After another good away win at Brentford this weekend, Gary Rowett's side are showing no signs of slowing up in the race for promotion.

They're well and truly settled in the top four in the division and looking good to stay there come the end of the season.

Some have doubted whether the Blues have enough firepower to remain at the top for the duration but with a string of exciting young talent coming through the ranks, there really is little reason why they couldn't mount a promotion push come May.

And in this article, we want to take a look at a handful of that attacking talent that the Blues really do have in their locker who are ready to perform if called upon.

So with that in mind, FLW's Hayden Atkins takes us through three emerging talents at Birmingham that will get the St Andrew's faithful very excited...

Jack Storer

Fans' favourite Jack Storer raced onto the scene in pre-season when he top scored with seven goals but after being sent off in the 3-1 defeat to Wolves earlier this season, we really haven't seen much of the teenage striker.

At that moment, it was clear the former Stevenage man wasn't quite ready for the first team due to his untamed temper but there is a real thought that in a couple of years time, Storer could be a massive player for the club.

If he can tighten that focus, work on his game and get his temper under control, we could be looking at a very special player indeed.

Ronan Hale

Those outside of St Andrews might not have heard of Ronan Hale but he's a man that is making real waves through the Birmingham City youth teams right now.

Last season, the 18-year-old scored an astonishing 28 goals for the Blues' under-18s outfit whilst also making his debut for the Republic of Ireland under-18s.

He's a young man that really must be on the cusp of the first team after some fantastic displays over the past few months.

Again, he's another youngster that just needs a chance in the first team.

Beryly Lubala

A constant presence in the Blues' development squad, attacking midfielder Beryly Lubala is plugging away as he aims to break into the first team fold.

Whilst plenty of youngsters came and went this summer, Lubala was offered a new one-year deal after yet another promising season in the development side.

He was part of the impressive win over Crystal Palace back in September and it's good to see another youngster being tipped for the first team.
