Bristol City went into the international break in the best way possible, seeing off arch rivals Cardiff City in the Severnside Derby.

Josh Brownhill's fierce second-half strike was enough to come away from South Wales with all three points and launch Lee Johnson's men back into the top-six at the same time.

The former Barnsley and Oldham man now has two weekes in which to ponder what to do with his side ahead of the return to Championship football.

And here are THREE things that might be on his mind...

Midfield dilemma

Sunday afternoon saw Adam Nagy return to the starting XI for the Robins in place of rapidly rising star Han-Noah Massengo.

Nagy had been sidelined with injury for weeks but came back into the fold for the Severnside Derby at the Cardiff City Stadium, impressing in what was a gritty battle at times.

But over the international break he will need to plan for who he prefers in that role for the visit of Nottingham Forest following the break.

Striking conundrum

In the absence of Famara Diedhiou and the injury of Benik Afobe, Johnson has been chopping and changing who he opts to play alongside Andreas Weimann in attack.

Recently, it has fallen to Marley Watkins although with no direct goal involvements in that time, he may opt to switch things up again, especially with Diedhiou set to return from his suspension.

He also has free transfer Rodri to consider for the role, with the Spaniard signing a contract until January back in October.

What shape?

The 3-5-2 is a set-up that Johnson has been loyal to so far this season and, in fairness to him, it has largely worked a treat.

Tommy Rowe and Pedro Perreira have been a menace down either wing whilst Tomas Kalas, Ashley Williams and either Nathan Baker or Taylor Moore have been impressive at the back.

However, the boss may have noticed that it is a system that is not getting the best out of his attacking unit, with the set-up tough to include key creator Kasey Palmer in, so a change could be on the card.
