It's safe to say that Rotherham United haven't made the start they would have first hoped for in their first season back in League One following their relegation from the Championship last term.

Paul Warne's side currently sit 13th in the league table, and have only won once in their last seven games in all competitions, with that win coming against a young Bolton side.

They face one of their toughest tests of the season to date on Saturday, as they host Coventry City, who are flying high in the League One table.

We look at how Warne's side could line-up against Coventry City this weekend.

The Millers come into the game against Coventry City in a relatively poor run of form, having been without a win in their last three league games.

But it's unlikely that we'll see wholesale changes made by Paul Warne for this one, against a Coventry side that have started this year's campaign strongly.

The Sky Blues currently sit fourth in the League One table and will be confident of maintaining their unbeaten start to this season.

Clark Robertson and Michael Ihiekwe have been impressive this season, but need to start keeping more clean sheets if they are to challenge for an immediate return to the Championship.

Experienced full-back Billy Jones could be in line to make his third league start of the season, after putting in strong performances against Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town recently.

It's highly unlikely that we'll see any changes in midfield, as this remains one of the strongest areas that Warne has in his starting XI.

Ben Wiles, Matt Crooks and Jamie Lindsay compliment each other well in the middle of the pitch, and will be hoping that they can make more of a contribution going forward as the Millers look to turn their poor run of results around at the earliest of opportunities.

Ryan Hastie is a certain starter this weekend, with the winger having three goals to his name in the five league appearances that he's made this season.

Freddie Ladapo has as many goals as Hastie, and will be keen to add to that tally as the season progresses, after arriving with a proven goalscoring record, having hit 18 goals for Plymouth Argyle in last year's campaign.

We could see a change in attack for the Millers, with Michael Smith potentially coming into the starting XI for Carlton Morris.

Smith is yet to score for Rotherham this season, and will be keen to get off the mark. The 27-year-old scored eight goals for Warne's side last season in the Championship, and supporters will be keen to see him find his best form again as soon as possible.
