Barnsley have taken three draws and a loss from their four Championship games under caretaker boss Adam Murray and have moved off the bottom of the table.

Cauley Woodrow's late equaliser against Bristol City last Friday meant the Tykes leapfrogged Stoke City and moved to within five points of safety.

Barnsley have put in some impressive performances under Murray, going toe-to-toe with three promotion contenders, West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, and Bristol City, and coming away with results.

The 38-year-old has indicated there will be clarity on the managerial situation during next weeks' international break and will be hoping to grab his first win at the helm prior to that.

His side welcome Stoke to Oakwell on Saturday, in what looks set to be new manager Michael O'Neill's first game in charge.

The Potters were awful under caretaker manager Rory Delap on Monday but you feel with O'Neill at the helm they could be set to take advantage of the new manager bounce.

With that in mind, here is the Barnsley side that we expect Murray to field against Stoke on Saturday.

Brad Collins has established himself as the Tykes number one since arriving at the club in the summer, starting 10 league games, and looks set to reprise that role tomorrow.

Barnsley have got the worst defensive record in the Championship, conceding 29 times, but Stoke are amongst the lowest scorers in the division this season, so it is going to be an interesting battle at that end of the pitch.

Murray looks likely to stick with the 3-1-4-2 formation he used against the Robins, with Tony Sibbick, Aapo Halme and Bambo Diaby reprising their roles at centre-back.

That trio will have to do a better job at defensive set pieces having conceded twice from them against City–especially with the likes of Lee Gregory and Sam Vokes in the Stoke squad.

Kenneth Dougall's return to the starting XI has helped to solidify the Tykes in recent weeks and he will surely start in defensive midfield once again.

Dimitri Kevin Cavaré and Jacob Brown have been among Barnsley's finest performers this season and they're integral to Murray's side both defensively and going forward.

Conor Chaplin was moved into midfield against the Robins but struggled to have much of an effect, so we may see Cameron McGeehan take his place alongside Alex Mowatt.

If Barnsley are to stay up, you'd imagine Woodrow is going to be the man scoring the goals that do it. He has six for the season and looks set to partner the electric Mallik Wilks up top.
