Swansea City attacker Aldo Kalulu has shared an update on his battle to get back to full-fitness following an injury in the second week of the season.

The summer-signing limped out of the action during the Swans 3-2 win against Preston North End in matchday two and has been missing ever since, but now appears to be nearing a return to the pitch.

Taking to Instagram, Kalulu shared a message on his Instagram story, captioning a photograph of himself with the words: "Soon... still working" alongside a praying emoji.

Prior to making the move to South Wales, Kalulu had made 24 appearances of FC Basel, scoring just one and assisting one in that time, with a deal being struck on his season-long move to Steve Cooper's set-up.

It is looking like a smart move so far, with the Swans flying in the second tier, currently sat in fourth place with 11 matches played and just one point behind league-leaders West Brom.

However, with the attacking unit of Andre Ayew, Yan Dhanda, Bersaint Celina and Borja Baston continuing to impress, it may be rather difficult for Kalulu to break back into the side.

The verdict

This is undoubtedly good news for Swansea.

As well as they have done in attack so far, it would be naive to think that they will not need to rotate in order to maintain this current promotion form.

Kalulu does not arrive with the best record but Cooper has already shown with the likes of Baston that that does not matter, and the best could well be brought out of him.
