Birmingham City will be looking to finish the season as high as possible in the Sky Bet Championship once it is resumed later on in the year.

The Blues have got some real talent in their squad and if they had been a bit more consistent perhaps they'd be being considered as genuine play-off contenders.

Of course, they've still got a mathematical chance of making the top six - nine points over nine games can be overhauled, but form wasn't great before the break and there's a glut of sides in front of them to overtake.

Perhaps, then, the best thing to do is plan for next season and use the run-in as a springboard for that, with a couple of players potentially set to benefit from the current elongated break.

Can you get full marks on this Birmingham quiz?

Let's take a look at them now:

Jeremie Bela

Bela has been a real hit at St Andrew's this season with him exciting when going forward and possessing plenty of talent.

He's been regularly posting updates on his social media channels concerning his recovery from an injury and now he has this extra time to really get back to a strong level.

Jacques Maghoma

Maghoma has not featured much for the Blues this season and with his contract up in the summer it could well be the case he leaves.

However, he gets this chance to shake off any remaining niggles from the quad injury in March and may get to stick around a little longer if it's decided that contracts remain intact until the season is done - it remains to be seen if he can use that time to win a new deal, or at least attract a new club.
